A Close Community with a Sense of Purpose

UNE’s vibrant campus community — built around people and purpose — will provide you with countless opportunities to explore, connect, and learn. We offer the resources and facilities of a larger university, yet our campuses still maintain a small-college vibe, and we make it a point to get to know you as an individual.

As a Nor’easter, you’ll be part of a caring and inclusive culture where no one slips through the cracks. Our goal is to make sure that you feel completely at home at 鶹ýand empowered in every aspect of your student experience: academically, personally, and socially.

Get Involved: Sustainability

My favorite thing about 鶹ýis the community — it’s very genuine and authentic. Coming here was a breath of fresh air. I thought, ‘Wow, I can be myself.’ It’s a very positive environment.”

Living in Maine

As a 鶹ýstudent, you’ll get to live where other people come for vacation. Our coastal Biddeford Campus sits on Biddeford Pool, a storied beachside destination. Portland, renowned for its food and culture, can be found on countless “best cities to live in” lists. Nearby, you’ll enjoy Maine’s abundance of sprawling sandy beaches and natural areas for swimming, surfing, hiking, biking, and other outdoor exploits. And when the snow falls, you can head off to nearby peaks for all kinds of alpine adventures.

Living on Campus

When you live on UNE’s seaside Biddeford campus, your home will be 540 acres where the Saco River meets the Gulf of Maine — the perfect location for learning, recreation, and exploration. You’ll have the opportunity to experience dorm life in both traditional and suite-style residence halls. Your meal plan provides you with a variety of dining options, including the nautically themed Ripich Dining Commons and the Cinco Cantina at the Forum Cafe.
