Media covers UNE’s announcement of Chellie Pingree as 2012 Commencement speaker

UNE’s announcement that Congresswoman Chellie Pingree will serve as the 2012 Commencement speaker received coverage from a variety of media, including The Portland Press Herald, the online Boston Globe, and the Associated Press.

Pingree will be awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree at the May 19th ceremony, which will be held at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Also receiving an honorary degree will be University of Maine Farmington President Theodora J. Kalikow, Ph.D., for her contribution to Maine’s educational and civic life.
