The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ College of Osteopathic Medicine (Âé¶¹´«Ã½COM) welcomes its newest class of future physicians to the Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences in Portland, Maine.During Âé¶¹´«Ã½COM's 29th White Coat Ceremony, the College proudly welcomes the Class of 2030 into the medical profession.
A cherished tradition in osteopathic medical education, the White Coat Ceremony marks the beginning of students' transformation into physicians and symbolizes their commitment to compassionate patient care, professionalism, lifelong learning, and the principles of osteopathic medicine. As students don their white coats for the first time, they take an important step toward a career dedicated to healing, service, and improving the health of communities in Maine and beyond.
Located on UNE's comprehensive Portland Campus for the Health Sciences, the state-of-the-art Harold and Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences brings together students from medicine, dentistry, physician assistant studies, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health programs, fostering collaboration and interprofessional learning from the very start of their educational journey.
